Right, this is a section that I have completely forgotten about - rules will be added as and how they come up based on findings/content from the users..

First and foremost a disclaimer - "FORDESCORTCLUBSA CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACTIONS PERFORMED BY ANY OF IT'S USERS OUTSIDE THIS FORUM, THE INFORMATION CONTAINED HERE ARE MOSTLY BASED ON PERSONAL FINDINGS FROM INDIVIDUALS AND OFFERED AS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE. SHOULD YOU NOT AGREE WITH THE ABOVE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REMOVE YOURSELF AS A USER.

I'd like all users to take note of the following:

1) This forum was created with the intention of getting like minded people together and share their tales/experiences with their Ford's over the years. The basic criteria here lies with people owning Ford's that would like to either restore or preserve their cars as close to original as possible. We DO NOT support hybrid conversions (Mazda/Toyota etc) and these need to be placed under our "non Fords" section. This does not mean you are not allowed here as user but please do limit your influence over other users with the hybrid conversions. In terms of other (period) conversions we have a few users here that could be of great benefit with a wealth of knowledge.

2) Mass sales of parts/cars will not be allowed, for that you should explore the gumtree/junkmail options. Such posts will be deleted and the user in question warned.

3) All new users should attempt to introduce themselves in the appropriate section viewforum.php?f=62 as well as supply basic info on location which will help us weed through the spammers. Refer to the user control panel to amend your details. Newly registered users who head straight for the For Sale section to advertise stuff will be dealt with, refer to the beginning of rule 3.

4) When registering a user account try to keep with the theme of cars as this makes it easier to identify spammers.
More to follow once I get time to add, also other suggestions welcome.

An effective way of implementing this is when clicking on the register button, this disclaimer must come up and it should be agreed upon... If it is possible?

It could probably work but may involve some coding. I'll look into it ;)

A warning should suffice, banning would be the last resort. The For Sale section covers for sale and wanted be it cars or parts. It's just a guideline for us to fall back on and to warn peeps that we are not here to do their free advertising..

I've noticed more swearing cropping up in between the posts, please let us keep this to a minimum and perhaps break these words up with other characters *,@,#,% etc.

Vir Afrikaanse gebruikers die woord kak moet ook ligter gebruik word asb, soos bo genoem sit eerder n ander karakter tussen in soos bv k@k. En die woord fok moet geensins gebruik word tensy dit op gebreek word.

This is non negotiable peeps - most of the content on here gets seen by people all over the world and swearing in general on forums is considered rude. Mods where applicable please edit the posts and let's keep things tidy ;)
